Michael F. Matheson

MICHAEL F. MATHESON specializes in construction, real estate, and commercial litigation. Mr. Matheson received his B.B.A. from Northwood University and his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Mr. Matheson has represented real estate developers, national title companies and construction contractors on a variety of development and construction related issues. He has presented seminars on numerous construction law topics, including construction liens and bond claims. Mr. Matheson is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
Michael Matheson’s practice includes:

• Litigation in state and federal courts in commercial matters, such as construction, real estate, and contract and business-related disputes.
• Representation and advice for residential home builders on contract matters and in licensing matters before the State of Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services and Michigan Courts.
• Representation and advice to national title companies, lenders and property owners concerning matters involving title, lien priority and foreclosure issues.
